Good Omens

Okay so I've screamed about this everywhere else—my apologies to people who follow me throughout platforms—but I watched Good Omens this weekend and 1) it was even more amazing than I had hoped and 2) Aziraphale and Crowley have the most beautiful chaste romance I've ever seen in my life. I just. It's wonderful. My heart.

I did not expect the show to go as hard as it did but holy cow it dove right into "so here's the 6000-year-long slow burn between a demon and an angel YOU'RE WELCOME."

Right? I mean, having read the books I came into it with expectations, but they were met, and then heavily exceeded. Even the background music agrees, it is a romance.

Btw, if you haven't already, I recommend listening to Queen's "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy" and paying attention to the lyrics. It's totally about those two (or more precisely about Crowley).

"Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy" is one of the Queen songs I'd never actually heard, but oh man does it fit them. Someone on Tumblr did a fantastic animatic with the song; it's definitely worth a watch.

(Has it been almost two months since I watched the show? Yes. Have I watched it more times since then? Yes. Am I still on my bullshit about it? ALSO YES I LOVE IT SO MUCH.)
