Tiger & Bunny Not!Fic - Bunny in High Heels

God bless anons who send me random Tiger & Bunny questions because they always lift my spirits. This one was originally posted to Tumblr here.

Anonymous asked: Okay but what if Bunny and Blue Rose were asked to do a photoshoot to promote some high heels? And what if Kotetsu showed up? Like 99.99% chance he'd probably fawn over Bunny's legs the entire time while poor Karina dies inside...

First off, I’m pretty much always here for any kind of cross-dressing, so this is right up my alley. I think it would take Barnaby only, like, five minutes to figure out how to walk properly in heels, and then he’s just strutting around like he’s been wearing them half his life and Karina’s just like “…are you kidding me.”

Kotetsu’s probably there initially because he has to be, like they have an interview or something after and Lloyds is just like “go to the damn photo shoot and stay out of the way.” So he’s hanging out back behind the cameras and he’s bored out of his mind and he has absolutely no idea why these people want Bunny to model their shoes. Like, Blue Rose, he gets. But Bunny?

And then Barnaby strides out in front of the cameras in bright red pumps with 4-inch heels and Kotetsu almost falls out of his chair.

He would then proceed to spend the rest of the photo shoot gawking at Bunny while trying not to look like he’s gawking at Bunny. Of course, Barnaby can totally tell, because Kotetsu is a lot of things but “subtle” has literally never been one of them. So he doesn’t really draw attention to himself per se, but he maybe stands near Kotetsu every time he has to change shoes, and occasionally asks Kotetsu which ones he prefers. (This always, always ends with Kotetsu blushing furiously and stammering out that he doesn’t have an opinion, why would he care about shoes, aren’t you finished with this stupid photo shoot yet, we have real hero work to do, Bunny.)

Karina is, understandably, annoyed by this for several reasons, but that doesn’t stop her from trying the same thing. Kotetsu just grins at her and says “They look great, Blue Rose,” at each pair before going back to pretending he’s not staring at Barnaby standing 6 feet away from him.

(She briefly considers freezing a patch of floor in front of Barnaby, but doesn’t for two reasons. One, he is her friend and she doesn’t actually want to hurt him, and two, she’s pretty sure Kotetsu would not be happy with her if Barnaby did get hurt.)

The shoot seems to drag on forever. Kotetsu is slowly dying inside, Barnaby is enjoying himself way too much, and Karina is twenty seconds away from freezing them both to the wall. The photographer is internally swearing that he’s never working with heroes again because this is fucking ridiculous.

When their wristbands ring with a call from Agnes, Kotetsu has never been so relieved to have an excuse to run out the door in his life. And at least he’ll never have to see Bunny in heels again.

That relief lasts until the next time he goes over to Bunny’s apartment and finds out that the sponsor gave him a complimentary pair of shoes for doing the photo shoot. Bunny spends the entire time walking around in the heels because “They mentioned doing another shoot. I’m just trying to make sure I keep in practice.”

(This is a lie. It is 100% to drive Kotetsu crazy. Given all the times Kotetsu has driven him up the wall, Barnaby figures he’s earned this.)

The campaign goes so well that the company ends up contracting Barnaby for more shoots, and Kotetsu also gets dragged along to every single one. Plus, Barnaby has it written into his contract that he gets at least one pair of heels for compensation, which he continues to wear only at home whenever Kotetsu is visiting.

Kotetsu doesn’t know whether he wants to burn the shoes while Bunny isn’t looking or send the company a fruit basket.

(Also, I’m just gonna throw this out there: I think Kotetsu would be a little bit turned on that Bunny is a solid 6 inches taller than him in heels.)
